The Royals
About the project
The Royals (Netflix) is a contemporary fairy tale starring Ishaan Khatter and Bhumi Pednekar, an ideological clash between a tradition-bound prince and a tech-savvy entrepreneur.
For the title we caught the palace in a state of transformation: regal, ageing interiors that shift and evolve, blending heritage with bursts of modernity, a monarchy forced to adapt or be left behind.

What I did
As CG Lead I ran the CG for the entire title sequence, heading the team that built the palace interiors from scratch, old and royal, full of heritage patterns, ornamental frames and rich vibrant colour. It runs one continuous journey, that ageing palace turning into a bright, modern one, so the work leaned heavily on world building and realism. I drove the whole look, from the broad environments down to the smaller animations across every surface, turning horse heads, simulated frames and shifting textures, taking it all from chaos to order until the final frame lands clean and aligned.
