About the project
Maharani 4 follows Rani Bharti (Huma Qureshi), the homemaker who became Chief Minister of Bihar, as the fight for power moves from Patna to Delhi.
For the title we boiled that whole rise into one chess metaphor: a lone Queen crossing a breaking board toward a King backed by an entire army.
Approach
Regal, strategic, defiant; dramatic chess symbolism.
What I did
I was the only CG artist on this title, working alongside a modeller. My job was to take the chess concept and bring it to life in CG, giving the board and pieces enough weight and character that the Queen and King read like people caught in a fight for power rather than props. I shaped the compositions and camera so every frame carries Rani's push across a cracking board toward the King and his army.
