Decoupled
About the project
Decoupled (Netflix, 2021) is Manu Joseph's comedy series, directed by Hardik Mehta, about a misanthropic pulp-fiction writer (R.
Madhavan) and his startup-founder wife (Surveen Chawla) who decide to split up, exposing the absurd relationships around them. The opening titles play separation in a comedic key: everyday things that usually go together, like a pair of rings, slowly moving apart. Each of the eight episodes gets its own photoreal set and its own episode card.
